double click file opens to search

how do i rectify the poblem that i have started to have since yesterday.

I double click to open a file folder, and instead of opening the folder, it opens into an explorer search window.

YES, i was playing around with the settings, but i cant remember which setting i tweaked that caused this to happen.

any help on how to solve this problem would be appreciated!

Start
Run
Regedit
Navigate to these two locations:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\drive\shell

Set the value for each of these keys to the word: none

Reboot
