I’ve been using the option “adjust for best performance” & now when I try to customize my setting’s ,upon restart it revert’s back to “adjust for best performance setting”.what can I do to make my custom setting’s stick?
Sounds like your drivers have fscked up. Not sure though, but something's not right. Try reinstalling the drivers... remove the old ones first, reboot, then install the new ones/an older and verified version and reboot again. Ought to help.
i'm on my alt computer at my lake home ,i now my display drivers are outdated ,but i'm hesitant to uninstall/install drivers because i'm not 100% sure of what will happen ,if i do as you suggest.or for that matter how to proceed, can someone educate me?

Aha, a 3Dfx-card. Funky, yes. Old, yes... ok, so I don't know whether or not new drivers would actually help here as I was just assuming you were an nVidian like the rest of the drones. ;D
Check out http://www.guru3d.com/ -- they have tons of drivers, perhaps they have what you're looking for.
As for the procedure, it's still just as I said. Remove, reboot, reinstall, reboot.
What will happen is that your resolution MIGHT drop to 640x480 (if it's an unsupported card), but it'll be right back up once the proper drivers are installed.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
