Disconnecting from remote desktop locks computer

I have two computers on a LAN running Windows XP pro. When I connect to one of these computers it locks the remote computer. When I disconnect the computer stays locked and you have to manually log into the computer. Is there any way around this? When I disconnect from the computer how can I have it log back in (tweakui does not fix this)?

It is supposed to work this way. Terminal services do this the way you want it. but you can also use something VNC, for example TightVNC www.tightvnc.com (free)

Yes, this is how it works, I am trying to find a way around this....like a registry hack.
