I wonder if they changed anything this time, I remember when 3DMark06 was released, I found myself having to upgrade from DirectX 9.0c to DirectX9.0c (identical before you triple check) before it would run properly.

When I first saw this thread I was like - ?

Why would they replace the Runtime with the same version label? Incrementation!!!

Actually horribly inept process management. It indicates a total lack of configuration management. They fire people where I work for doing something that stupid. Date/time stamps are not valid control methods.

So if the files are the same that means this is just another MS ploy to thrash out people who refuse to adopt the MS validation spyware hidden in the guise of a required update..

Direct3D is updated in the SDK but not sure about the web installer:

This release also include a public pre-release Direct3D 10

I didn't know we had a member named Microsoft

Well seems the spyware non-sense is only required for the web install, you can get the "download" here without the spyware. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
