dialup connect at startup (re post)

I already posted this thread but no answers worked... Maybe more "networked" people will see it here! I just want my adsl dialup connection to automatically connect at startup. I tried a shortcut in Startup menu and in the scheduller but without results...

Last week, it was starting along with MSN messenger but it does not work anymore (we suspect a venussian conspiracy). All my settings are correct in Internet Options (auto connect, etc...) any other idea?

Create a shortcut to the connection icon in Control Panel->Network Connections, store the password, and drop the shortcut in the startup folder
