So, the problem that I am having is getting the bios password off of this old Dell 700m laptop that was given to me.
Now usually there's not too much that I can't tinker around with and eventually fix or get going But, this one has got me wanting to pull the hair out of my bald head. Lol.
So I called Dell tech support and they ran a check on the laptop to make sure it wasn't stolen or reported and all that they were able to come back and tell me was that the laptop was 17yrs old and obsolete. I just want to remove this password so I can upgrade my Windows OS and get it working.
I've already tried removing cmos battery and reversing the polarity on the cmos battery. There is no jumper on the motherboard. Can you help me?
