deleting a bin file

i have a bin file on my desktop that i canot delete for some reason... i tried to find the program it might be used by in task manager but i cannot find anything. The error says it is being used by another person or another program but its definately not another person

did you try booting in safe mode, then deleting?
also, update your virus defs and do a scan

thanks for responding quickly... i havent tried booting in safe mode yet.. i wil... but why would my virus scan do anything? i know its not a virus

safe mode should do the trick. If you use nero, u should be able to use the file browser to locate the file and delete it from there too.
