Hello all --

During my routine cleaning of my drive I noticed:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

There are a number of folders under Content.IE5 and what looks like images, graphics, etc. from the net. Some I can delete, but some I can highlight, click delete, and nothing happens. On other files in the these folders, I go to delete and the error 'cannot delete, can't find the specified file' pops up -- uh, the file is right there, why can't it delete? 🙄

I tried through a DOS shell and when I go to the Content.IE5 folder, it says no directory exists. /boggle

Are there any programs or anything I can do to forcibly remove these files?

Thanks.

they are your temp internet files, just delete them with the Internet Options from Tools menu in MSIE

this program should help you, it works very well. just be careful what you delete.
