I have, what i hope to be, a quick question. I'm not very knowledgable with the whole VPN thing but I've read around including any posts I could find on the forum here so I hope that I have a fairly decent grasp on it, of course I could be wrong and would appreciate it if somebody could point that out to me if it is the case.
I have somebody who wants to connect to their work VPN from home through a D-Link DI-604 router. Now I'm not resposible for setting up any software etc etc etc, the only thing I have to do is setup the router to allow the VPN connection.
So if I'm right about this all I should have to do is forward whatever port, which depends on the protocol she's using, to her PC.
eg. IPSec -- forward port UDP 500
PPTP -- Forward TCP 1723
And that should be all that needs to be done regarding the router.
Thanks for any help you can give.
