Hi all,

Does anyone know how to ctrl+alt+del a windows vmware window.

I hit ctrl+alt and it releases the mouse from the window.

Thanks

Sorry, AZ

Should of mentioned "VMware Server" in my original post. The shortcut you posted is for "VMWare ESX Server". Everytime I touch the ctl+alt buttons, I release the mouse from the image.

Heeter - still the same combination of keys (ctrl-alt-ins). Just don't let go of the Ctrl-Alt before you hit the ins key.

Thanks fitz.

but I can't get it to work............

Darn........

I hold down the ctl+alt, then continuously smack the insert key, to no avail.

I am wondering if the fact that I converted that winserver2003 image from a bare metal install using vmware convertor has anything to do with it. I did need to do that to retain my single licence of that winserver.

From here:
Note: Because Ctrl-Alt is the key combination used to tell VMware Workstation to release (ungrab) mouse and keyboard input, combinations that include Ctrl-Alt are not passed to the guest operating system. If you need to use such a combination - for example, use Ctrl-Alt-<Fkey> to switch between Linux workspaces in a virtual machine - press Ctrl-Alt-Space, release Space without releasing Ctrl and Alt, then press the third key of the key combination you want to send to the guest.
Might also try Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
