it is like this, when i was playing cs half way, my friend msg me and it went to the windows and when i return back to the game, my cs doesn't have any sound any more .. anyone know how to fix this ???

Yep: don't leave any messaging progs on when playing CS!
If you ever leave cs in game to the desktop you're just SOL. You'll have to restart if you want sound back.

Escape to the menu, before alt-tabbing to windows.
Was hopeing the switch to directsound in the latest patch would fix it, I guess not :S
