Creating Icons

Has anyone had any success in creating icons in windows xp? I was wondering what software you used. I was hoping to find some free software.... I have photoshop, but I need software to convert the pictures to the icon format. Thanks

a great free program that u could use is Iconshop

Mavis wrote a great read me on how to convert Mac Icons to XP icons, u can use this to figure out how to create your own Icons, and how to use Iconshop.
