Is there anything in the config file that will speed up the time it takes to get into a server? I must have screwed something up in my config file today and now I never get in on the first round. I have great ping on our server so I know its not my connection.

no u cant, the reason why it takes so long is beacuse of the valve's anti-cheat stream.

what kind of connection do you have?

in 1.3 it was faster to get into the servers but 1.4 since they have VAL or somethin like that ANTI cheats devices it will

Yes I can. The rate was set too low in the console. I set it higher and now I connect fast and have a better more stable ping.

what was it on in the first place? and anyhow it cant make much difference unless u have cable or something like that.

It was on 2500 so I set it up to 8000 and I am using DSL. It made a big differance.
