Hi could anyone help me with these questions??:

IP Addresses - Classes
Class A - Supports 16 million hosts on each of 127 networks
Class B - Supports 65,000 hosts on each of 16,000 networks
Class C - Supports 254 hosts on each of 2 million networks

What i would like to know is there ranges like for example 192.168 etc is a class c i think etc

and another question if someone could answer please is this:

What does a router do that a switch doesnt??

If anyone could help me out here i would really appreciate that :)

Assumming an IP address is represented as a.b.c.d, where

a is between 1 and 126 = Class A = Range is a.b.c.d
a is between 128 and 191 = Class B = Range is a.b.c.xxx
a is between 192 and 223 = Class C = Range is a.b.xxx.xxx

As Enyo said, there are special ranges for private use, e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx

I believe there are class D and E but I have never come across them.
