hi

Hope u can help me on this one..

I have an Amd athlon 64 3400+ with
3Gb DDR 333 166Mhz. Corsair (TWINX2048-3200C2PT) 400MHz/PC3200 PC Memory non-ECC unbuffered 2-3-3-6 Silver Heat Spreader.
Motherboard Asus K8N-E Deluxe further details of MB are below
4 HDD; 2 Sata and 2 IDE
And I'm running windows XP SP2

However since ive upgraded my memory from 1GB to 3GB , my computer has become very slow.

I don't know if the RAM upgrade has anything to do with it, but it seems like it. Has it started after the upgrade.

It takes ages to shut down. It stays with the blue screen for 20min at least, before eventually shutting down.
Also if i open more than one window it hangs up.
It takes ages to do anything, from opening web browser to explorer windows.
Onlywhen i re-start it works properly for a while before doing it again.

I have read in a few forums that it could be related with the paging file, however i changed the paging file to 4500 (correct me if im wrong, the paging file should be 1.5 times more than the RAM) and it still does not work properly.

Im clueless on how to solve this issue.

Any help is more than gratefull

Thanks in advance.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
