Comcast on demand probs?

Well, this is somewhat entertainment related...though more related to cable system then the show. Anyone ran into this before? Went to order a movie, and the first time it went to play, it was all green and very horribly pixilated.

At least when I stopped and re-started it, it came in normal though. Tis odd...

It was probably a compression error. Most video-on-demand services uses MPEG-4 compression, which is similar to DivX. Occassionally, things screw up.

Yeah, I'm sure they use some kind of compression... Lets just say I have digital cable at my current appartment...

BTW, I did have a prob when they first hooked it up. Every day about 10 am or so it would go rather badly, and wouldn't clear up till 9 pm or so... Blocks of channels would become horribly pixilated then go out (except the analog channels which became rather snowy). Turned out (according to the first guy who came) that there was too much signal comming through, and one of the signal amplifiers was over-heating from what he said. He put in a work order, a week latter, no one did anything.

Had to call back, and they never entered his work order, notes, and everything else into the system. So then they had to send someone out to diagnose the same prob...

Things haven't done anything weird like that, until last night that first time I went to watch it. Dunno...
