Combo-List boxes, broken? Anyone else notice this?

Has anyone noticed other then me the new way listboxes/combo-boxes function in XP? For example, go to the address bar in IE. click the down arrow on the right of it, don't release.. hover over an item.. release.. NOTHING! this used to be the same as selecting that item.. This is driving me UP THE WALL!

Anyone, please.. some help.. or just let me know this annoyed you too..

Exactly, that is the whole problem It used to actually select the item when you released.. now it just puts that focus rect around it. Quite annoying..
