Codecs

I have installed several codecs so that I can play some downloaded Divx movies. Althought I have installed Mpeg 4, angel codec, Hbo and others, some movies still won't play. I get sound using media player, but no pic.
Any Ideas???

if you're using xp, the media player 8 doesn't play certain divx. You gotta use the old version of media player which is packaged with win xp. Just run mplayer2.exe and you'll be able to play the divx.

i use a prog called gdivx works on all movies so far had no probs and it is small and takes little resources.

Oggdec

Certain groups encode their films with the Oggdec codec such as the file The.Others.DVDRip.DivX-ViTE.avi etc.

Any idea where to download oggdec? I've searched around, but, as of yet, to no avail...
