Can any1 recommend the right house hold chemicals I can use to efficiently clean the die on my processor to apply a new layer of thermal compund?

I have used water and kitchen paper over my finger b4, but I wouldnt mind using something that really cleans the tiny molecular grooves on the die and bottom of heat sink using some house hold products. What do you all recommend?

umm lets see.

Plain nail varnish remover without conditioner in it.

Pure Alcohol

Brake Cleaner.

I'm sure this list will get quite long so I won't think up too many things you can use around the house.

(Pure alcohol is my choice)
