Capture dv on os x 10.5

This is probably a really long shot, but i need to capture DV tapes on my mac. I already have FCP and know how to use it, but i need another program that can capture whilst i am using FCP. I'd also like it to be free as well, the pc has loads.

I dont want to use imovie it is aweful.

and before anything says i cant do that, i really can, i have a 2xquad core mac pro with 4gbs of ram.
