Buying TFT on Ebay

Ok, then point me towards another 20" tft for under 300.

These are £800+ new.

You can't get a decent 20" under 300. :)

Anyway.. With eBay you can never be sure, a friend of mine bought 2 (yes, two) 17" TFT's off there the other week, yet I know people who have lost upwards of £1,000. You just need to be carefull. In this case, the seller has a nice high rating (always a good sign) and I'd say that's a nice TFT and a nice price :)

Two big issues with LCD displays.

1). You really need to view an LCD to see if the viewing angles , msearing of motion and intensity suit your need. Have you seen the desired display face to face?

2). Dead Pixel return policy. What is it, what are the terms, restocking etc.? Some dead pixels can be ignored. An always ON, bright red, in the center of the screen may drive you nuts.

I buy 50 % of my stuff online these days but a monitor or LCD I would never even consider. your call.

*edit, seems a decent enough seller, says it has a warranty, and dell are good with warranty's

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
