Boot Problem HELP

I boot my desktop, and my D Drive (NTFS) needs to be checked for consistency, after this is through, the entire system just hangs. No scans have been run on the C Drive. I tried to boot in safe mode and last know good config. but all did not work. Just hanged. HELP!

after the computer scans with chkdsk to varify the disk. those three or four dots

.... at the bottom. The system did not boot before that.
