anyone tried directx 9 yet??...

I usually won't try betas for things like API's. My neighbor currently has it running and so far hanbs't had any crashes he can prove where dx9 caused it.
The thing is this...dx9 won't improve anything that current games use really. it's basically just adding features for the future and such and making minor improvements to the dx8 implementation for cards that fully support dx8, other then that it won't offer any sort of performance boost

I tried it. Very unscientific, 'cause I'm having a problem with 3dMark. But just observing the frames rates I've seemed to pick up a few. Unscientific.
