another firewall?

Do I need another firewall besides the firewall that comes with XP? I don't know how reliable it is anyway....

You don't need another on top of the one in XP. You might want to have another instead of the one in XP if you want to make any settings on your own. I don't know how reliable it is either.

You can use the one that comes with XP. You will probably be fine. But, I would suggest an alternative firewall instead. Like Norton, Zone Alarm, Tiny, etc. Some are free. Have a look around.

I think it's good enough for blocking incoming attacks, but it doesn't do sh*t about outgoing traffic. (trojans)

If you want better protection you could try Kerio. It's free for personal use. (same prog as Tiny)
