Anarchy Bandwidth Question.

Just curious,does AO require a broadband connection to play?I'm cursed with dial-up,and was wondering if anybody here plays it with a dial-up connection.Please tell me if it's even worth trying,or just a waste of time for me.Thank you,o wise ones.
