😕 I can't seem to logon as Administrator. I press Crtl + Alt + Delete at the logon screen and i type Administrator as the user, but when I click ok it gives me an error that says it can't logon due to an account restriction.

What's the problem? 😕

admin psw logon

did you input an psw when you setup your xp? is it xp home or prof anyway?
cheers...

I think you have to be in safe mode to log in under the actual "Administrator" account (never had to try this myself 🙂 )- otherwise just use your normal account you've set to Admin priveledges when you installed XP.

if your running XP-Home, you can only log in as admin in safe mode

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList \
Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value
Name the new value Administrator
Double-click this new value, and enter 1 as it's Value data
Close the registry editor

Then logoff the current user......

Then from the welcome screen press Ctrl+Alt+Del, release the Del key, and press it again, while still holding down the Ctrl+Alt keys.

There ya go.....

😛
