I have found a user manual in pdf format and I can download it with no problem.

The page size is about A5. When I print it on A4 without any resizing it prints bang in the middle of the paper. i cannot find any way of checking the Acrobat page size nor any way of setting the print position on the paper.

Can anyone help?

Is there any way of (i) saving this type of file to disk or (ii) stripping out the text to a Word Processor?

Yes... click the little icon that looks like a floppy disk.

(ii) stripping out the text to a Word Processor?

Nope.. that's the beauty of Acrobat. It's pretty secure.

Well if it is only the text part your after you could do the following:

If the security of the PDF is set in such a way that you may not copy away text then:

Create a text (generic) printer and let it print to file...
Then use this printer to print it...

For installing/creating such a printer go to Start/Settings/Printers

Click 'Add a Printer'
In the wizard un-check the 'Automatically detect and Install my Plug and Play Printer'

On the 'Use the Following Port' Select 'File:'
On the next screen select in the Column Manufacturer 'General'
And then in the Column Printers 'Generic/Text Only'

Don't set this printer as your default :)

Then print the document....

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
