acer boot up problems

i have a acer asphire 3000 notebook that freezes on boot up i have tried every thing i know. I have even reformated but it is still the same. If you boot up in safe mode it is then ok can anyone guide me

If it works fine in Safe Mode I would try disabling all services/applications that are non-critical at boot, and then add them one at a time until you find the culprit.

did that nothing but removed the battery and did not refit it by mistake- problem solved refited battery problem back. Where is the cheapest place for a new battery

I would be careful with laptop batteries and sites that list them as compatible. Your best bet would be to get the part number from your manufacturer, and then search by that - verifying the part number matches. Avoid the generic batteries that say they will work with your laptop.
