XP Wont find new hard drive?

Carnt get my pc to find my new hard drive!
Its in the bios!and also in My computer properties.

IT,S not displayed in my computer were the other drives are listed?
Tried the jumpers!settings from ibm site and still its not listed?

T HE DEVICE WILL BE SLAVE IF ANY ONE KNOWS?

60gb IBM HARD DRIVE: -

I read somewhere that this drive has problems with XP, something to do with the drives on-board write caching setup. It it a IBM 60GXP? try disabling write caching.

Decided to install this drive as c:/windows??
widows is fine !but instead of it being c:/windows?its become g:/windows


how do i change the directory where windows is stored?

I have just bought the 80 gb version of your drive and it put mine as G drive as well even though I was installing windows to it. I got round this by disconnecting all my drives apart from the hard drive and a cd drive, then once installed I connected the other drives and that worked
