1394 Net Adapter Broken

I just got a laptop and I used to connect it via firewire to my desktop so I could transfer my music and pics in a quicker manner instead of my wireless network. Now I'm trying to connect them again, but the hardware properties of my desktop pc shows that the 1394 Net Adapter is broken (it has that little yellow icon on it). I tried uninstalling it but the icon still appears...I tried updating the driver but I can't find any either...

Any steps I should be taking?

Thanks,
Apu

Broken? Disable it in Device Manager and reboot...it should re-discover the device and reinstall the drivers then...if not then add new hardware manually...

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
