Today Wanadoo have changed their broadband packages for new customers. All new customers will now get a 1Mbps for the same price as the 512Kbps accounts. The options are as below:
£17.99 1Mbps (2GB cap)
£22.99 1Mbps (6GB cap)
£27.99 1Mbps (30GB cap)
If anyone can't get broadband at 1Mbps then they will get a 512Kbps service for the same price.
At the moment I can't get the 1Mbps service but I hear that BT are making some changes on the 6th Sept that will make this possible.
If anyone wants to know (this may have already been discussed) the changes are as follows:
So - to sum up - what this should mean is that 99.8% of lines connected to a broadband exchange will be able to get 512Kbps and 96% (the same percentage that can get 512Kbps now) will be able to get 1Mbps service. This is obviously what resulted in the changes to Wanadoo's accounts.

If anyone wants to know (this may have already been discussed) the changes are as follows:
- distance limits (from BT exchange) for 512Kbps service will be removed (previously 6km);
- distance limits for 1Mbps will be extended from 4km to 6km.
