Style XP not working anymore since latest SB Live drivers

Anyone else experience the same thing? Style XP got completely out of wack, got errormessage (something about Helper)

Worked perfectly beforce new SB Live drivers (the ones posted on this site the other day)

I find the new SB drivers to be a God-send. My sound was always crackling where two applications were using the card at once. Now there are no problems whatsoever.

There IS a possibility that Creative disabled some Windows features to get the card to work properly though. Don't see how it would affect Style XP though.

theres a new patch to style XP that cures the Helper problem, and also StyleXP is spose to be free asuch.

u can download a ux dll file, also from there site, disables all the trial warning stuff etc..

although took a few installs and muck abouts to get it working.

theres good instuctions on their site as well on how to install that ux dll, although it gives some warnings n stuff. think they r trying to scare u into giving them some money

Thanks guys. I do have the registred version but I didn't know about the Helper problem. I assumed the problem had to with the SB drivers since it occured immediately after install and restart of these drivers.

OR is it a patch? Style Xp are a bunch of ****** their software is nice but what happen to freeware! atleast if your gonna sell a product have a free version, geez. Look what happen to microsoft for not being open SOurce. LOL

i think, THINK :E, that they werent allowed to sell it as a product since it just used microsofts theme thingy.... or they never meant to sell it, someone from the company changed his mind... i dunno

Theres style xp 1.0 and a patch to 1.1 or soemthing.

and some dll file that makes it freeware, tis all on their site.

I know were not suppose to promote piracy in Xp-erience.org.... But if you think about it, when they did the O.S poll more people have the Bootelg and the Devil's Own so arent we all pirates!? LOL

But dont post any cracks on here.... cause u know xp-erience.org can get in trouble with Microsoft or TGTSoft. In order to keep it living we must take care of the forum, like if it were our own money.

Houston we have a problem

Well me as a curious guy deleted style xp.... and deleted the keys in the registry... Stupid ME
Than when i downloaded it again.... I tried to install it and it gave me this Error.
"The Installation Key is invalid"
D:\Source\TGTsoft\Common\Tgtsec\tgtsecprovider.cpp(591):0xc0040409


Hope someone can help me...

have norton utilities or some other registry program...maybe you can take care of it with one of those...or...do a system recovery...maybe that'll help...

yes, imagine that, a program, that expires when the trial period is over, the only way to fix that is to buy the program, and just for anybodies information the "patch" G-lizard uploaded doesn't work.

Simple solution, if you like the program, buy it.

No more talk about cracks and patches.

I have none of those programs and my system recovery dont work.. so i guess i'll stick with some other skinning program... Damn TGTsoft!!

i have had the same problem after uninstalling the program! i cant reinstall it!!!

its a real pain. does anyopne know how to solve this issue?
