Man, I wouldn't mess with Wal-Mart internet or K-Mart internet or one of those cheap $10-a-month dialup companies noone has ever heard of. Just stick with a well-known company like Telus. Not sure if you get telus in the US or not but it's the best ISP I've ever tried. Used to have dial-up, $20 bucks Canadian for 100 hours. Now I have Velocity Hi-Speed DSL, which is $45 a month Canadian. Have been with telus for like 7 years now without a problem. Telus is the biggest ISP in Canada, and for good reason.
AOL is a piece of junk. Don't bother with it unless you want to be overcharged for their free instant messenger, free email service with spam shoved up your @$$ every day and a few links to shopping websites you can get to with any connection. Telus gives you 3 free email addresses, and with mine I get maybe 20 spam messages a year, most of which around Christmas time.
