As I said earlier in this thread - mine crashes:
I have shdocvw.dll ver. 6.0.2800.1154 in C:\Windows\System 32 - it is dated 01/07 2003. I checked my Windows Update History and it shows nothing for that date.
I have shdocvw.dll ver. 6.0.2800.1106 shown in C:\Windows\Service Pack Files\i386
I have shdocvw.dll ver. 6.0.2800.1133 in both C:\Windows\Last Good\System32\dllcache & C:\Windows\Last Good\System32
As I stated earlier I am running IE6.0.2800.1106 (128 Bit Encryption)
So I guess that makes sense as I can see the progression from version 1106 (Service Pack) to 1133 (Last Good) and finally to 1154.
I still wonder where the 1154 came from on Jan 7th, 2003 as no Windows Update was done - or is the date shown in the popup ballon in search the actual date of the file - instead of the date it was installed? If that is the case, I did the Windows Media Player 9 Services and Codec updates on January 8th, 2003!
Could it have come from there???
