Athlon 1900+ XP??

Dont get too used to the AMD Athlonx XP+ speeds because they wont last long. That type of marketing is digging AMD a grave hole, because what happens when intel decides to raise their clocks per cycle? Pentium 4's are just underclocked, but they have more potential indeed.

I heard that AMD told toms hardware to pull it down
as the AMD chips should never be run without a HSF
& was an unfair test

I think the burst tech in the P4 is a doubleedged sword, sure if you lose your fan it'll shut down, but so will most new Mobo for Athies, if the temp gets too hi, the mobo shuts down. But lets say you buy you machine from a store, and u never see true performance, cuz someone didn't do something right, and it runs hot, so you have it slowing down. or what happens if you just have a fluke CPU and it runs hotter for some reason, that no one knows, so it'll never be able to get full speed.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
