hmm, I think I fixed it by turning on the screen saver, unchecked the box (which became checked when I did), applyed, then turned off the screen saver again and it seemed to fixed it. Thanks for your help :) oh, and NetRyder, that tends to happen ;)

@NetRyder -- nah, it's nothing about disk speed nor space, it's just that, Windows like to take me to my welcome screen if my computer is idel for a while. @Unwonted -- I don't have a screen saver on so it wouldn't be that >_> any other suggestion?

Hey all, after installing VS.NET, Windows XP started to like to take me to my welcome screen after a while of no activity and I forgot where the option is to turn it off, so can anyone help me out? btw, I'm using XP Pro SP2 so you know which version of windows I'm using. Thank you.

I could never figure out the differents between the 9600 and the 9600XT... but when I got home for lunch from work, I saw that my dad areadly got me it.... is it possable to install a new graphics card without first removing the old drivers or do I need to contune to use my friend's PCI card...

welp... tested it out, tryed a friend's PCI type of graphic card (I was using an AGP type of graphic card) and booted just fine (although I had to change the time and such before it could start because of the motherboard batter I replaced last night)... So my graphic card is fried >_> oh, and...

update: tested my video card in another one of my comptuers to get the same problem... I'm still going to get another graphic card to test it once more (since the graphic card from my other system won't fit into my system).

I don't think it's a video card problem but I'll try it and see (I still have my old voodoo III graphic card somewhere).

hey all... I'm having problems with my custom built system. The whole system is about 3 years old, the motherboard is about a year and a half old. Anyways... I went to take a nap and when I woke up, the monitor had gray pixals (about 5x5 pixal squears) all over the monitor, so I just restarted...

I don't know why, but I never really did liked those dialers that comes with the software, I just use Window's dialer, try using Windows dialer and see if it makes any differents.

hmm... my computer is able to connect to my family pc but it won't let me access my laptop and my laptop can't get access to the network at all (other then getting on the internet)... is it because it's running XP SP1 while all the other systems running XP SP2?? Is XP SP2 being racest of it's...

But why would that make any differents?? I had this firewall on since Dec. of last year and was still able to connect to my network o_O ok, wow, that is weird... now I'm starting to see all my systems o_O I guess I'll keep my Firewall off tell I find a better way o_O thanks for you help :)
