    Hey everyone...

i have a friend at work who told he just forgot his adminstrator account password. He just recently changed it so that his son could not gain access to his account..and now has forgotten it...

he logs on with the regular logon screen..not the "Ctrl+Alt+Del"...

does anyone know of any means to retrieve/reset the admin account in Win XP home??

can you logon to pc in safe mode as an admin in home edition???

    any help is greatly appreciated!!

    thank in advanced..!!

Go here and pay $80 for a utility called NT Access to reset the password.

I use pro, but it is my understanding that if the person installing XP screwed up and did not set the administrator diagnostic account password you can do this:

Restart computer, press F8, enter safe mode.

If this does not work, let me know and I can send you a link via email or pm (that might work, depends on the machine). I don't think it would be a good topic for this forum.
