windows xp media center edition

    I was able to get the media center version of windows and installed it..well I found it funny while I was said windows professional throughout the whole setup...but it says its the media center version but I haven’t seen or noticed any changes from xp home to the new I doing something wrong?

    MCE 2005 is based on XP Pro, which is why you probably saw it as Windows Professional throughout the initial setup.

    As for the differences from XP Home - the most noticeable one should be the Media Center, which is the main component of XP MCE. Other than that, you should also see most of the XP Pro components (again, since MCE 2005 is based on XP Pro) that are not included in XP Home.
