Windows Update

    When i try to enter to windows update it starts scanning but it never finds any updates although i know there are updates.

    i had a problem with the corporate version of xp but i solutioned it.

    anyone ?

    Go to Control Panel --> Performance and Maintainence --> System. Under Automatic updates, choose Manual updates.

    Then go to http://www.windowsupdate.com.

    Note: If it was set to Auto update and Auto install, there will be no need to visit that website.

    When I go there i see all grey and the windows update service is unavailable?

    where do i change this setting ?

    If he gets a grey screen, his system must be locked out.

    Answer this...

    How long has this PC been having this problem?
    Did it come with Windows XP on it?
    Was the machine used by anyone other than you?

    Try using a third party updater like BigFix or Cnet CatchUp
