I just did a clean install of XP Pro.

But now when I run windows update, it never lists any drivers in the dirvers section.

It did before the format, and now it does not. I have not changed any settings or any hardware, so does anyone know why this is happening ?

I liked the update because it found drivers for my network card, and I don't know were else to find them.

Go to the network card manufacturers website for the drivers. Usually they're better than the ones Windows Update will get for you.

Did you have XP on before? XP Pro seems to handle most NIC's very well with it's built in drivers.

Well I just installed XP a second time, (fresh install)

And it wont load up any of my drivers on the Update site.

It used to bring up drivers for my NIC, 3d Card, and Sound Card when I checked (after a fresh install)

But the drivers section is still empty.

    Any ideas ?

All the other security updates load fine.

You will be better of getting your own drivers for your stuff its not hard to find them ..

Did you install SP1? Maybe the drivers were all updated by that.

No, I have not installed SP1 yet.

I just booted to my desktop after the install and checked for updates.

It's not a huge deal because I can get all the drivers no problem.

But I did like the update because it found the latest drivers for my sound card and NIC (I am so lazy I don't even check for updates)

I've had problems like that with xp before. It's more than likely xp itself or(probibly) a problem with the update site itself. The last time it happened to me I did'nt bother with it for a few day's. When I wen't back all the drivers where there. Weird
