Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page. Network problems are preventing connection to the Windows Update servers. Please try again later.

If you continue to see this error, contact your network administrator

This is what I get every time I try to connect to win update...

  6. It's a long shot but try delting all cookies and clear all history also try deleting the folder WUtemp on the root of C: or in \Windows

Those options can be found in tools>internet options

Also try just pasting this in your browser

    windowsupdate.microsoft.com

You may also want to look here

    http://www.freetune.com/extras/broken_updates.htm

and follow instructions given, not exacltly related to your fault but might help.

unhide system and folders in windows explorer

delete all files in local settings\temp directory

    and it should work
