Is the same thing happening to you guys when it scans for updates?

Windows Update - Error
If you cannot update XP check your c:\windows\windows update.log. If you have this error: Error 0x800C0008 then go to Tools\internet options\languages. You must have one language selected. Boom windows update works again!

Nothing worked. That second link does not work.
My windows update is:

If you continue to see this error, contact your network administrator
This is what I get every time I try to connect to win update...
It's a long shot but try delting all cookies and clear all history also try deleting the folder WUtemp on the root of C: or in \Windows
Those options can be found in tools>internet options
Also try just pasting this in your browser

I've tried all of that, but tell me this
why is wutemp on my e drive and not c?
unhide system and folders in windows explorer
delete all files in local settings\temp directory
and it should work
