I had this happen in Win98 too, so I'm hoping someone here
can explain why it happens.

I'm running ZoneAlarm, and when I open Windows Explorer,
ZoneAlarm informs me that Windows Explorer is trying to access
the internet.

What's up with that? I thought it was a glitch in Win98, but
obviously not, since XP is doing the same thing.

Any theories? Thanks.

its probably all this crap where explorers become web-based etc
just a theory though ... what woudl happen if u disabled the 'view as webpage' section

maybe its trying to acces the net to get thumbnails for .htm files that are on your drive??

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
