    Windows Defender beta 2,

Has anyone using this product ever detected anything as I’ve had it on my machine now for over a month during which time its done absolutely nothing whilst Spybot, Adaware and Spyware Doctor are detecting things all over the place.

    Or is it just me.

    :suprised:

You raise a good point, I myself have not one time noticed a detection of anykind on a PC that I have installed WD on . while S-B and respected apps have detected many low to high risk malware......While still in a beta bugs are sure to be around until they are ironed out..I still recommend using it.

I haven't had anything pop up myself when it's been installed, but if a machine is already infected it finds a lot on first download/update/scan.

Remember though, no single solution is yet efficient enough to run on it's on in regards to spyware. The best defense is multiple points of offense, or something like that :p

Translation - run at least 2-3 spyware apps on an infected machine.
