    I'm not asking.


    I just never thought that I would use 700+ Mb of RAM on anything other than video, audio, or gaming.

    So you'd rather apps take very little ram and run slowly? :p

    more ram = apps take more ram. I've got 2GB in here and it's often full.

    No, I guess I don't mind. Just never looked at how much I'm actually using though. If I have to add anymore crap to my "Gaming" computer I will need more RAM.

    thst shows 300mb used by apps and 600meg as system cache...whts the problem? the cache resizes as needed...so effectivley you have ~900mb ram available for applications
