Weired Process CPU @ 100% inetvss.exe

    Hello All

    does anyone have any idea about this process? inetvss.exe it is maxing out my CPU!
    I am runnning windows xp SP2. I have searched every place i can think of!

    If you have some info it would be greatly appreciated.

    welcome to OSNN gman - just a thought, but what happens when you terminate it? Is it running under SYSTEM or your login? And last but not least does it show from msconfig?

    Not a part of SP2 itself

    I checked all 5 SP2 machines here and not one contains this file, so it would have to be a part of something you have installed recently. As mfg suggested I would try shutting it down, then run a full system virus scan with an updated scanner followed by a spybot search.
