So I got all nostalgic today and plonked down all of my spare cash for a Nintendo 64 and a PSone with a little screen.

I bought a few games for each, which were all used and reasonably priced. Then I look up FF7 and faint...70 dollars new? 55 dollars? What gives?! I bought it used for about 14 dollars a few years ago but a friend took it with him when he moved.

Anyway, I'll be getting my next paycheck in a month or so - in the meanwhile, does anyone have FF7 that's gathering dust and they'd like to part with for a price that doesn't scream murder?

Also - if any folks ( USA only ) have old systems/games that are in an attic somewhere and don't want them, list 'em here and I might buy some stuff. I still want an SNES...maybe more :yowch:

mmhmm, prices are a bit high for 7. FF8 is more than half the cost, must have been a shortage of production?

Damn...makes me glad I bought FF7, 8 & 9 *new* three years ago. They were selling as "Greatest Hits" for $14.99 each. I've only started playing FF7 recently. :p

I see that Amazon is selling FF7 for around $40 used. Still not cheap, but it's better than $55-70?

Just as a heads-up, I see that EBGames.com is selling FF8 & 9 used for $14.99 and $19.99, respectively. That's just in case those games would be of interest to you too in the near future.

Guess so - there must be some insane demand for it, either that or someone decided to one day call it 'rare' and sell it for seventy or so bucks. And someone actually bought it ( big surprise ) and on went the trend.

Melon: thanks for the heads up! Looks like we bought it for the same price some years ago. I'll order FF8 shortly, and I'm I don't care too much for FF9 and anything above :)
