I think I got hit by a virus using this vunerabilty last night, whilst I was downloading the security update.
It changed my Default page for Internet Explorer, and now IE runs like a *****. 100% CPU whilst moving the mouse, and I have an XP 2600+.
I'll try rebooting, see how it goes.

Called BootConf.exe, put itself in the startup for local machine. And I'm scrolling Port 135 dropped packets. Looks like there's another one out there. :(

No problem :) Drive by spyware is getting more common and in some cases sneaking without any user interaction.

As above checkout the Spyware Cleaning and Prevention thread. Two items in particular would have helped stop this from happening 1) Spyware Blaster 2) IESpyAd. You may want to get both of them :)
