As soon as I have FTP access again I will be upgrading to vBulletin 3.06 as it contains crucial security updates. I will be doing some work offline to ensure that the upgrade goes smoothly.

For members of other older forums, vBulletin 2 has also been updated and I ask that you advise other webmaster to upgrade.

Those guys have a policy of releasing security updates as soon as they are made aware of them and fix them.

    - On one hand its frustrating because I have to reapply all the hacks.
    - On the other, it just makes sense to patch these exploits asap.

Also good that they have thrown a load of bug fixes in to boot.

Wouldn't be much point, considering it'll get cracked no matter what they do. Just concentrate on the security and bugs is what I say :)
