    The Parphelia's image quality isn't noticibly better until you crank up th AA. Even then, UT2003 is still a much slower experience than on a GeForce 4. I'm just happy to see that I won't need to go out and buy a new GPU.

    I'm running the demo on a geforce 3 ti500 and its running fine at 1600 x 1200 - so if u have a geforce 4 I don't think you're going to have any problems at all. BTW - does anyone know how to invert the mouse in the demo ? I've found an entry in the config file "invert vertical = false" which i changed to "true" but it did nothing - any other ideas?

    $300, is that all ? Over here in the UK, we have a chain of shops called PC World - who have a Radeon 8500 All In Wonder for the princely sum of £349 :eek:

    They also sell 40 gig 5400rpm HDD's for £115, but thats another story....:rolleyes:

    You are correct. My bad. But the retail 8500 (not AIW) is a bit cheaper still......

    We get shafted left ,right and centre over here. Same drive over here is about £60 normally - just that PC World like to rip off people who don't really know a great deal about computers. I was in there the other week when this guy was looking at the £115 drives and I told him he could get the same 1 from another shop called Scan for £59 - he still paid the £115. That's the kind of customer they LOVE in PC World :D

    That's a pretty decent price for a GF4. Good info...Thx.

    I did see the Radeon 8500 128mg DDR OEM over there for $162 though. That's a pretty sweet deal if you don't need all the extras of the AIW card.......

    You can invert your mouse in ut2003\system\user.ini

    Find this line :

    MouseY=Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=3.0

    and change it to

    MouseY=Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=-3.0

    Cheers mate - that's much better now, I cannot play any other way than with the mouse reversed - just confuses me as its so unnatural.

    where can i get the demo from for UT2003?

    avsdotcom: I'm playing all FPS games with inverted mouse all my life. As you said, it feels unnatural :)

    Anyway, in UT2.ini you can change video and audio settings, so you can get rid of 800x600 and normal detailed textures.

    I changed everything to Ultrahigh and detail textures on, 1028x786 and I get 60fps constantly on my gf3.

    That's gonna be the best multyplayer game... I'm already in love, even considered as "demo".

    I'd already cranked teh res up to 1600x1200 32 bit, but I'd only put all the texture details to high - didn't know they'd all go to ultra, but they will now :D

    As for inverted mouse - I just think "if you want to look up, which way do you move your head ? "

    hm.. Good question...

    But, here's my explanation why do I use invert mouse.

    When you play any fps, there is more chance, that the enemy is higher then you point at that moment. So our hand's have better reflex if you pull your hand to yourself, then forward. Or am I something special...
