I dont know if you can, but on my local box here, i run dnscache, a tool written by Dan Bernstein, also the creator of qMail.

homepage at http://cr.yp.to/ click djbdns, and look at setting up a local dnscache, run it on 127.0.0.1, and set /etc/resolv.conf to 127.0.0.1, after that all you need to do is reboot, or start deamontools (svscan), and your set. Now whenever you need to get the latest IP or DNS info, just give it a littel nodge with svc -t /service/dnscache and you get the latest DNS info the next time you do a DNS lookup.

This is what i do, and it gets me the latest stuff within minutes of the actual DNS having changed. Its really easy, and you wont be stuck using the crappy ones your ISP gives you :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
